Annual Plan and Reports
This section of the website provides information on the Council's Annual Plans and Annual Reports. Both these documents are prepared by the Council as requirements of the Local Government Act 2002.
Annual Plans
The Annual Plan is produced in the years when the Council does not prepare a Long-term Council Community Plan (LTCCP). The purpose of the Annual Plan is to allow the community to participate in the fine-turning of the costs and funding from that originally proposed in the LTCCP.
The Annual Plan must be adopted by the Council prior to the beginning of the financial year to which it relates. The Council will consider submissions received on a draft Annual Plan before the document is adopted.
Annual Reports
The purpose of the Annual Report is to compare what the Council actually did, with what was planned through the LTCCP or Annual Plan. The Council must adopt an Annual Report within four months of the end of the financial year i.e. by the end of October.
