Annual Plan 2008/09
The Council is currently preparing its Annual Plan and budgets for 2008/09. Part of the process of preparing these documents involves including the community in the decision making process through consultation.
The Council has consulted on the draft Annual Plan 2008/09 over the past couple of months. This documents sets out the projects and issues facing the Council over the next financial year. It contains the budgets for 2008/09 and provides information regarding your rates.
The Council has also consulted on a review of the Hazard Mitigation Policy.
The Council received 417 submissions on the draft Annual Plan and had the opportunity to listen to verbal presentations from submitters during 21- 23 May 2008.
The Council is grateful to submitters for the contribution they made and submitters will be advised of decisions made in regard to their submissions in July.
Since the Council heard submissions, they have been deliberating over submission points raised. Decisions have been made to alter the Annual Plan as a result of submissions. The final Annual Plan document is currently being compiled and will be adopted by the Council on 30 June 2008. After this date it will be avaialable on this website or in Council offices and libraries.
