Annual Plans
The Annual Plan is produced in the years when the Council does not prepare a Long-term Council Community Plan (LTCCP). The purpose of the Annual Plan is to allow the community to participate in the fine turning of the costs and funding from that originally proposed in the LTCCP. The Annual Plan must be adopted by the Council prior to the beginning of the financial year to which it relates. The Council will consider submissions received on a draft Annual Plan before the document is adopted.

The Council Adopted the Annual Plan for the 2010/2011 year on 30 June 2010. This presents the budgets, work programme and service levels for the year 1 July 2010 to 30 June 2011.
As part of the development of this Annual Plan the Council has also adopted amendments to the LTCCP. This includes the implementation of a SUIPs based rating system for commercial properties and changes to the Liability Management Policy.
There are two Fees and Charges schedules for the 2010/11 year including one at 12.5% GST for the period 1 July to 30 September 2010 and another at 15% GST for the period 1 October 2010 to 30 June 2011. |

The Whakatane District Council's Annual Plan 2007/08 puts into operation the second year of the Ten-year Council Community Plan 2006-2016, adopted by the Council in 2006.
This Annual Plan states what the Council wants to achieve over the 2007/08 financial year, how much it will cost and how that cost will be funded (including the setting of rates).
The Annual Plan 2007/08 was adopted by the Council on 29 June 2007. |
