This Policy provides guidance in terms of whether the Council will consult on a matter, how we will consult, and to what extent. The purpose of this Policy is to ensure that the community has the opportunity for meaningful input into Council decision-making, and also that those engaging in consultation have a clear understanding about what they can reasonably be expected to influence. The policy helps to ensure a consistent and transparent approach to consultation across the Council. |
