If you have accommodation that you are able to offer to people affected by the flood event on Tuesday, 1 June 2010 please call Housing New Zealand on 0800 801 601 to register. Similarly if you are unable to return to your home and require accommodation please contact Housing New Zealand on 0800 801 601.
Diane Turner, Controller, Eastern Bay of Plenty, says that Housing New Zealand staff are doing a great job co-ordinating accommodation for people affected by the floods and she urges those who have accommodation available to register. She says “some people evacuated from their homes on Tuesday night will be unable to return home immediately and they do require interim accommodation. Any offers of accommodation will be welcome”.
