Annual Plan Funding Applications

Purpose

Funding through the Annual Plan may be available to groups and organisations that have a need for financial support that cannot be met by other available funding schemes.

Amount available

There is no set amount available. Applications will be considered against the available budget for the 2008/09 year.

Who can apply?

Applications will be considered from community groups or voluntary organisations domiciled in the Whakatane District area and providing a benefit to the Whakatane community.

Applicants should first look to apply to other available funding schemes where eligible. 

How and when to apply?

Applications must be made by completing the application form which replaces a submission to the Annual Plan.

Applications open on 4 April 2008 and close 5 May 2008.

How your application is assessed

Council will make a decision on Annual Plan funding applications as part of the Annual Plan deliberations process.

The 2008/09 deliberations process will take place from 26 May - 12 June and applicants will be notified of the outcome in early July.

Accountability

Recipients of Funding through the annual Plan are required to complete an accountability report which will be provided at the time funds are granted. This must be completed and returned to Council annually until the grant is spent.
