How your application is assessed
Applications are considered by the Community Board at their next meeting, as they come to hand. Community Board meetings are held every six weeks. Applicants are notified of the decision within a week of that meeting.
Decisions are made against the following criteria:
That the Whakatane Community Board Discretionary Fund is to be used for the purposes of:
- Community development
- Community pride/beautification
- Community facilities
- Community events
- Board initiated surveys and questionnaires
- Guarantee against loss
Organisations should not rely on the Board to provide funding in future years and attempts should be made to source alternative funding for future events.
