Asset or Activity Management Plans

Our Asset or Activity Management Plans (AMPs) have been reviewed alongside the development of the Long Term Plan 2018-28 Consultation Document.

AMPs set out a 10-year programme for the management of specific groups of assets. The documents are reviewed cyclically (typically at least every three years) so they remain relevant.

The AMPs are in two parts, Part A and Part B.

Part A provides general information, including about the Whakatāne District and the Strategic framework the AMPs operate in.

Part B provides detailed information for particular groups of assets. This includes a defined methodology for planned maintenance and asset replacement as well as a forecast of the expected costs to maintain and replace the assets.

The AMPs have been developed in accordance with the National Asset Management Steering (NAMS) Guidelines. They include forecasted population growth, the level of service expected by customers, the condition of the asset, planned maintenance, and replacement which ensures a complete and consistent approach to the long term planning of assets.
