Whakatāne Airport Plans and Reports

The Whakatāne Airport is a vital economic resource for our community and an essential part of the regional transport infrastructure. The Council produces a number of documents relating to the Whakatāne Airport, including the Ten Year Business Plan, a half-yearly and annual report, and a draft and final statement of intent for the following year.

Ten Year Business Plan and Master Plan

The Whakatāne Airport’s Ten Year Business Plan, adopted by the Council on 6 March 2013, aims to provide a strategic framework to ensure the sustainability of the Whakatāne Airport as a key economic asset. It identifies opportunities for growth and development and outlines a set of realistic actions that both supports the continued operation of the airport and protects the future viability of the airport over the next ten years.

Yearly plans and reports

Each year, the Council produces a half-yearly and annual report on the Airport, plus a draft and final statement of intent for the following year.
