- Order using the catalogue.
- We will confirm pick-up when available.

Bag o' Books
Grab a ‘bag of books’ selected by a librarian. We have a range of options available. You can order today and collect tomorrow.
FREE for library members.

- Whakatāne: Monday – Friday, 9 am - 5 pm
- Murupara: Monday – Friday, 10 am - 5 pm from 25 May
Interloans
The Interloans service supplements our own collections by making the resources of other New Zealand (and some Australian) libraries available to you.
We charge a small interloan fee of $7.00, which you pay when you collect the item. Sometimes there may be an additional cost, but we will contact you first if this happens.
We can interloan:
- Books (standard and large print)
- Articles (from magazines and newspapers)
- Car manuals
- Music scores, CDs
- DVDs
- Audio (talking) books
Housebound
Our library staff will select items for members of the Whakatāne Horizon Energy Library who, for reasons of illness or frailty, are unable to visit the library and who have no family able to assist.
We can select from the following:
- Books (standard and/or large print)
- Audio (talking) books
- Magazines
- Jigsaw puzzles
Volunteer drivers will deliver and collect items fortnightly. Please call us to request a form to join this service.
Group or Class Visit
Tell us what you need:
- Introduction to the library
- Layout of this library
- How to find items using the catalogue
- Research skills and strategies
We need to know:
- Time and date
- Particular focus of visit
- How many coming
- The age range of the group
If members of the group are interested in becoming members of the library, they are welcome to fill out an enrolment form. To join the library or become a member, they will need to provide two forms of identification.
