Remedial seal repairs at the main Whakatāne Boat Ramp, so that our car park facilities are maintained.
Works will take approximately two weeks and have been scheduled to cause as little disruption as possible to the public and users.
Commencement dates for these works to be undertaken are:
1st of Feb 2024
25th March 2024
or the 1st of May 2024.

As of 2pm Thursday 14 March, Stanley Road has temporarily re-opened in full.
Road users are now temporarily able to use the road; however we urge all motorists to stay alert and drive with caution when passing through the site.
The area directly around the site will then close again to all traffic next Wednesday, 20 March at 8am, reopening the following day on Thursday, 21 March at 5pm. From this time, the road will then operate under priority give way for approximately two weeks.
A reminder that while these closures are in place, our contractor Tracks, will assist all school pupils with controlled access in the mornings and in the afternoons to ensure they can continue to use the school bus.

We are pleased to advise the storm damaged section of Braemar Road currently under construction is nearing completion.
We are expecting to seal this section of the road Thursday 18 April 2024.
Following this, Braemar Road will re-open in full from 10am from Friday, 19 April 2024.
Please note, the road will be under a 30km/h temporary speed limit to allow the seal to settle and embed properly until early next week.
Following this, the road will be swept, line marking will be completed and the previous speed limit will be reinstated. More info » |
