The Tāneatua Community Board covers the Te Urewera General Ward and Toi ki Uta Māori Ward areas that includes the communities of Tāneatua, Ruatoki, Waimana, Nukuhou and Cheddar Valley. The Board rotates its meetings between Tāneatua War Memorial Hall, Waimana War Memorial Hall, Cheddar Valley Pottery and Te Wharekura o Ruatoki School and meets on a Monday evening at 5:30 pm.
