The Whakatāne District Council seeks your views on a new Waste Management and Minimisation Bylaw.
The proposed bylaw has been developed as part of collaborative work with the other territorial authorities of the Bay of Plenty and Waikato regions. Council’s proposed Bylaw uses these standard bylaw clauses, amended to reflect Whakatāne’s needs.
The Council is proposing to revoke Part 5 of the Consolidated Bylaw and, following public consultation and consideration of the feedback proposed, adopt a new Waste Management and Minimisation Bylaw 2018.
