Membership is free for all residents of the Bay of Plenty. Junior members need to have an adult responsible for any items borrowed.
You can register as a Digital Only member and have access to all our digital resources, including thousands of eBooks and eAudiobooks, without even needing to visit the library!
Once registered you have two weeks to visit any Whakatāne District Library to pick up your card. You will need to bring in two forms of ID:
- Photo ID (such as a passport or driver licence)
- Proof of your current address (such as a bank statement or phone bill)
Note: There are no ID requirements if you select digital membership but you can change to physical membership at any point by visiting your chosen library with ID as above.
