Update 3:40pm: Road is now open.

The right-hand turn from Commerce Street to Canning Place has been closed to all traffic until further notice. We're working on an urgent pipe inspection under one lane of Canning Place.

Canning Place can be accessed from George Street, but we're encouraging road users to take an alternate route if possible.

The work is expected to take approximately four hours.
