Temporary road closure to allow for Geotechnical Testing to be undertaken at the bluff section of Herepuru Road on Thursday, 15 October between 9am and 2pm. The closure affects people and vehicles travelling between the Herepuru Stream Bridge and SH2.
The Geotechnical Testing work requires a large Cone Penetration Testing (CPT) rig to be used on the narrow section of the road. The results will be used to inform a design options report for the replacement of the retaining wall beneath the road at this location.
