Temporary Water Shutdown - Parts of Landing Road and Hinemoa Street

Water Shutdown

  • Monday 28 August, 2023
  • 9am - 4pm
  • Properties in Landing Road and Hinemoa Street (see map below). Specifically: Landing Road (odd numbered properties from #63 - #109), #7 and #7A Hinemoa Street, and Hinemoa Street (even numbered properties #6 - #28).

As part of the Landing Road Roundabout project we're upgrading water and wastewater infrastructure in the area to enhance its efficiency and reliability.

On Monday, our team will be working on connecting some important bits and bobs underground. As part of this mahi, there'll be a temporary water shutdown to parts of Landing Road and Hinemoa Street.

If you're going to be affected by this temporary disruption to the water supply we've contacted you via letter.

If your water supply is going to be paused for a time on Monday, here's some tips to help you out:

  • Fill a couple of buckets or your bathtub with water, and have a potable water container filled with water for drinking.
  • If someone in your home depends on water for critical medical support – please ensure you make alternative arrangements.
  • After 4pm once the water is back on, we recommend you run your outside tap for at least two-three minutes to dislodge any sediment and remove air prior to using any inside taps.

If you have any queries or concerns regarding this work, please contact Draintech’s Project Manager Stuart Munro on 027 274 7033.

Thanks for your cooperation and aroha mai/apologies for any inconvenience.
