Waste collection times and transfer station hours on Tuesday, 10 October 2017 will be reduced to enable staff members to attend the funeral of a waste collection contractor.

Time changes are as follows:

• Kerbside collections will cease from 9:30 am to 2 pm. The intention is for collections to resume and catch up before dark; however, if any collections are missed, they will be picked up the next day.
• The Whakatāne Transfer Station on Te Tahi street will close from 9:30 am to 2 pm.
• The Murupara Transfer Station will be closed during its normal morning session of 8:30 to 9:30 am. The afternoon session (3 pm to 5 pm) is unaffected.
