We advise Melville Drive residents that there will be an interruption to your water supply while some important work is carried out for our Watermain Renewal Programme. 

If someone in your home depends on water for critical medical support – please ensure you make alternative arrangements during this time.

We recommend you fill a couple of buckets or your bathtub with some water, and have a drinking water container filled with water for drinking.

After the water supply is restored, we'll flush the mains to remove any entrapped air or sediment in the line. We advise that you run your outside tap for at least 2-3 minutes to dislodge any sediment and remove entrapped air in your lines prior to opening any inside taps. If the water appears milky, continue to flush lines until this clears. This is caused by pockets of air becoming compressed and entering the water. This is perfectly safe.
