Integrated Urban Growth Strategy

The Whakatāne Integrated Growth Strategy considers how and where future growth can be accommodated in and around the urban areas of Whakatāne. A number of previous studies, projects and reports were considered in developing this strategy. The background reports referred to are provided below.

The Draft Whakatāne Integrated Urban Growth Strategy combines a number of previous studies and projects considering how and where future growth can be accommodated in and around the urban areas of Whakatāne.

The Council adopted the Whakatāne Integrated Urban Growth Strategy on 18 August 2010. A staff report was prepared and presented to Council on 14 and 16 December 2010 outlining the phasing of the Whakatāne Integrated Urban Growth Strategy.
