As a result of an extraordinary vacancy has occurred on the Murupara Community Board (Galatea-Waiōhau Subdivision) of the Whakatāne District Council, notice is given under section 65 of the Local Electoral Act 2001, that the following person has been duly nominated:

As there was only one candidate for one vacancy, Ken BANNAN is declared duly elected to the Murupara Community Board (Galatea-Waiōhau Subdivision).
