Whakatāne District Council will be undertaking dredging of the Whakatāne River in the vicinity of the Whakatāne Yacht Club. Dredging of this area will ensure that safe access to the harbour navigational channel is maintained. Works will take place during daylight hours from Monday to Saturday (subject to suitable sea conditions) from 13 March - 3 April 2023. Please keep 50 metres away from the dredging vessel at all times.
