Road sealing maintenance continues on Eivers Road on Tuesday, 9 November.

We're undertaking a number of water shutdowns in the McAllister Watermain Project Area to enable connection works to be carried out as part of the watermain upgrade project in McAlister Street.

Whakatāne District Council is today commencing work to lower the sand fuse on the western side of the Whakatāne River mouth (at the tip of the Ōpihi spit), to comply with Bay of Plenty Regional Council flood preparedness requirements.

The Council is seeking a person to actively lead and enhance governance and accountability as an independent appointee to the Risk and Assurance Committee, in the role of the Committee Chairperson.

Minor footpath replacement works on Kākahoroa Drive will begin Monday, 28 June, for approximately three weeks.

Safety works are underway to remove loose rock from the escarpment faces above Hillcrest Road. Due to the nature of the work to remove the unstable material the situation is subject to change, there will be delays and potential closures to roads in this area as the works continue.
